FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What to bring:
  • Required: Full fingered padded gloves and helmet with working chin strap (cage/faceshield is optional).*
  • Hockey Stick
  • A black shirt and a white shirt (please do not bring a grey shirt)
  • Water & snacks
*Players MUST wear the required equipment in order to participate. There are NO exceptions. If you do not have the required equipment, then please indicate your equipment needs on the registration form when registering and we will try to take care of you! We try to get everyone into the game but only have a limited supply of spare equipment and will not have spare equipment other than what players' requested on their forms.

Nearby Amenities:
There are bathrooms and a gas station with food/beverages right by the rink. We will have some free water and snacks available for participants at the rink (supplies limited).

How to Get There:
The outdoor dek rink is located at 96E & 1ST Ave, Manhattan, NY and is accessible by subway (Q, 6, lines) or bus. 

Waiver & Covid Attestation:
All participants must read, understand, and agree to the waiver. Players sign waiver in person at check in. All participants must also complete their online covid attestation form (24 hours within) their first game. 

Rules
All players must review and abide by the tournament rules and  WBHNYC's Code of Conduct in order to participate.

Inclement weather policy:
In the chance of inclement weather, players will receive a tournament notification via email no later than 8am the day of (October 15, 2022).


After careful consideration, we've moved this year's hockaway to 96 E & 1st Ave, Manhattan, NY.
There are public restrooms at the rink. There is also a gas station directly across the street that sells basic snacks and refreshments.
